Mansafe Systems

Mansafe has become the generic term for a system that prevents falls by allowing the worker enough freedom to carry out his duties but keeps him away from fall areas with a cabling and anchor system.

Sussex Rope Access has vast experience of all the major systems that are available and can help you ensure that your workers are safe at height.

The 3 Key Components of a ‘ManSafe’ Fall Restraint System

Constant Force Post

For roof-top applications, we recommend the free-standing Constant Force post, which is ideal for one-off repair or maintenance tasks.

This can be installed on virtually all the major roof types including standing-seam, composite, built-up-on-site, secret-fix and membrane.

Fixing the Constant Force post does not damage the integrity of the roof, whilst providing a safe and secure anchor point.

Fall Restraint Cabling

A ManSafe cable-based system combined with a Constant Force post offers enormous flexibility for protecting the safety of people working at height.

Strength, durability and ease of use make it ideal for virtually all types of roof and flat structures and for a wide range of purposes.

Walksafe Walkways

In conjunction with a Constant Force Post and ManSafe fall protection system, a designated walkway system should be specified, with a walkway which provides a level anti-slip surface, marking a designated route for workers to follow.

A ‘WalkSafe’ system can be affixed to all major roof types including standing-seam, composite, built-up-on-site, secret-fix and membrane and does not damage the integrity of the roof.

Watch a short video of the Latchways Constant Force Post which allows a cable-based fall protection system to be attached to any roof type without damaging the integrity of the roof.

We depend on these systems ourselves so we know what is required.
